Private Residence — Georgian Countryside

The Retreat

A quiet escape from the pace of the city — a place where architecture slows down and daily life returns to something more grounded.

Location

Georgian countryside

Year

2026

Program

Private residence

Scope

Interior architecture, FF&E, custom joinery

A carved dark-stone bath on a timber plinth, set against a gold-veined marble wall and a full-height window opening onto forested hills
The House

The project brings together natural textures, soft light, warm wood, and understated detailing to create a home that feels calm rather than decorated. Every room was approached with restraint: generous, comfortable, and deeply connected to the landscape around it.

Rather than treating the countryside as a theme, the design lets it become the atmosphere of the house — present in the materials, the proportions, the silence, and the way each space opens toward nature. The result is a home that feels contemporary, intimate, and timeless.

The entry — a floating oak bench and stone vessels against curved timber panelling, lit by a concealed warm light
The living room — a curved olive bouclé sofa and a round oak table before steel-framed windows opening onto trees

“The countryside is not a theme here. It is the atmosphere — in the materials, the proportions, and the silence.”
